VDS’s core competency is the service and overhaul of Detroit Diesel two cycle engines. With the majority of customers running two stroke series 53, 71 and 92 engines, VDS offers parts, maintenance and overhaul of all three engine series. In addition VDS provides parts and service for the Series 60 and Series 2000 four stroke engines. VDS offers maintenance and overhaul service at both their Paramaribo and Nickerie locations. In addition the Paramaribo headquarters boasts a Dynamometer test facility for engine testing after overhaul. This facility can handle engines up to 900 HP.
