In west Suriname there are many Detroit powered pumping stations used in the rice sector for water maintenance which is imperative in the rice cultivation business. The Nickerie branch of VDS provides parts and service for both the engine and pump on most of these units. As the lo-lift pump distributor we are in the position to offer the client a complete pumping package, engine plus pump. The Lo-Lift brand has a proven track record of over fifty years of operation throughout Suriname with units running in excess of thirty years with minimal service needed. Our Nickerie branch also manufactures a specialized paddy drying system used heavily by the rice farmers in Nickerie. The system is comprised of an electric driven Industrial Combustion burner, for whom we are a distributor, attached to an industrial rotating 48” German Axial fan driven by a 40HP Techtop motor. The fan sucks the hot air through a burner pot, manufactured in our facility, strategically located to funnel the hot air over the paddy in order to dry the product for long-term storage. In this construction process we deliver the Burner, the Industrial Fan, the Electric Motor driving the fan, the Stainless Steel metal sheet used in the burner pot construction and the heat resistant cement used to line the burner pot. All of these components are purchased out of the States and Europe and assembled in our Nickerie facility.
