MTU / Detroit Diesel

VDS is an authorized service dealer for MTU engines in Suriname and has represented the GM/Detroit Diesel brand for over 60 years. With the combination of Detroit Diesel and MTU’s off-highway operations in 2000 to form MTU America VDS also offers more advanced four stroke engines became an option for Suriname. Since 2000 we have seen the adoption of the Series 60 and Series 2000 marine engines by some of our clients.

  • Our Parts Department stocks most two stroke Detroit Diesel Parts and consumable Series 60 parts. Non-common parts can be sourced on an as needed basis.
  • Our Service Department offers troubleshoot, repair and complete rebuild services for all Detroit Diesel two-stroke models and the four-stroke series 60 and 2000.
  • The VDS Paramaribo Service Department operates a fully functional dynamometer test chamber for engine testing up to 800 HP.

Deutz

In order to cater to our customers in the gold sector VDS offers parts and rebuilt Deutz 912 and 913 engines. Should you need parts or assistance on any other Deutz engine please contact our office.

  • All rebuilt engines are completely stripped and rebuilt with all new Aftermarket Deutz parts in our Service Department.
  • All rebuilt engines are Dynotested in our Paramaribo test chamber to make sure they perform to factory specifications.

Cummins

For our customers in the logging sector we stock parts and overhaul kits for the Cummins 6BTA engine found in most Clark and Timberjack skidders. We also stock a Clark long block unit for customers needing to exchange a blown engine.
